Get Legal Help for Your Business
Our free documents and guides cover most situations — but sometimes you need a real lawyer. We connect UK businesses with specialist law firms who can advise, draft, negotiate, and represent you. No obligation. No catch.
How it works
Fill in the form below with a short description of your situation. We’ll match you with the right type of specialist.
We work with specialist UK law firms experienced in startup and SME work. We’ll introduce you to the right person for your matter.
You’ll get a call with your lawyer, they’ll understand your needs, and give you a clear price before any work begins. No surprises.
Typical fees from our partner lawyers
These are indicative ranges from our network. Your lawyer will provide a fixed quote for your specific matter before starting any work.

Common questions
Do I need to have used a Legal Foundations document first?
No. We can help with any legal matter for a UK business — it doesn’t need to relate to our free documents. If you’ve generated one of our templates and want a lawyer to customise it, we offer that too (£395 fixed fee). But you can also come to us with a completely separate legal need.
Who are the lawyers you work with?
We work with specialist UK law firms experienced in commercial, employment, startup, and dispute work. They operate on fixed-fee or agreed-scope models, so you know the cost before committing.
How quickly can I speak to a lawyer?
We’ll respond to your enquiry within one business day and introduce you to the relevant lawyer. How quickly you can get a call depends on their availability, but most matters can be started within a few days. If yours is urgent, mention it and we’ll prioritise.
Is there a free consultation?
The introductory call to understand your matter and provide a quote is typically included. Whether detailed initial advice on that call is charged depends on the complexity — your lawyer will be upfront about this before the call.
Is Legal Foundations a law firm?
No. Legal Foundations is a not-for-profit organisation. We are not a law firm and we don’t provide legal advice directly. We produce free legal documents and guides written by qualified UK lawyers, and we connect businesses with specialist law firms. The law firms we work with are independent and regulated by the SRA.
What does it cost to make an enquiry?
Nothing. Submitting the form, receiving our response, and getting a quote from a lawyer is free. You only pay if you decide to proceed with the legal work.
